The Bay team profile series: Meet Vik


 

You’ve tasted our fish and chips, now, get to know our team a little better! Here at The Bay, we think it’s important that our customers know who we are, a bit about us and why we love doing what we do, which is why we’ve put together a fun Q&A for our Bay team profiles series.

Team profiles

This month, you’ll be getting to know Vik, Calum’s wife and stalwart in the business! Vik has been behind Calum 100%, and together, they make a great team. Here’s what she had to say in her Q&A:

Q. Hi Vik! Please describe yourself in three words…

A. Loyal, organised and caring.

 

Q. What is the best thing about working at The Bay?

A. Our people. We really do have the most amazing team and customers. I love working with our team, we are like a family and we always look out for each other. Our customers are fantastic too! We have lots of regulars who we’ve really grown with over the years and they’re always so lovely to us.

 

Q. What is your go-to order on The Bay menu?

A. Mmmm! I love everything, but, if I had to choose it would be mini battered cod, chips and lots of Tartare sauce! 

 

Q. Do you have a hidden talent?

A. Drawing…I love to draw and I find it so relaxing too.

 

Q. Can you tell us something about you that customers might not know about you?

A. I am a keen gardener. I love to get my hands dirty! And here’s a tasty fact for you… if you’ve tried our Tartare sauce and you find it extra fresh and tasty, that’s because it’s made with parsley from my garden.

 

Q. If you’re not at The Bay, what are you most likely to be doing?

A. I love whiling away hours in the garden and I really love cleaning my house, nothing beats that ‘just cleaned’ smell! 

 

Q. Big question… what would you choose? Fish or chips?

A. I love my fish, but, if i had to choose it would be chips. You can’t beat just cooked, crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside, chips from The Bay.

 

Q. What is your go-to sauce for your fish and chips?

A. I’m back to talking about Tartare sauce again. I love our homemade version and I have it with everything, and even on its own!
