The Bay supports local community with fundraising initiative

We’re big believers in giving back at The Bay Fish and Chips, which is why we launched our community fundraising initiative in 2020.

We’re donating every 10p bag charge we receive for online orders at The Bay Fish and Chips to charity or local groups.

Thank you to everyone who nominated charities, community groups or causes that would benefit from the donations we will be working out way through this list.

November 2020: Befriend a Child

In our first month following the launch of our community fundraising initiative, we supported Befriend a Child. The charity provides children and young people across Aberdeenshire with the opportunity to experience new and fun activities they would otherwise not be able to take part in due to circumstances beyond their control.

Overall, during November with your support we raised an incredible £397.

December 2020: Kincardine & Deeside Befriending

During December, we selected Kincardine & Deeside Befriending to raise funds for their great initiative to support vulnerable, elderly people who live alone.

Thanks to everyone who ordered from The Bay, during the month we were able to raise an amazing £260.

January 2021: Doddie’s Aid

During January 2021, we’ll be donating to Doddie’s Aid and taking part in the Doddie Gump challenge with Calum pledging to walk 250 miles to raise funds for the cause.

Together we can support our community
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who helps us with this fundraising initiative, it is sure to make a big difference to our local community.

Keep checking back, as each month we will update this article with how much our community fundraising has raised.
