We’re honoured and excited that The Bay Fish and Chips has been shortlisted for the Sustainable Business Award in The Cateys 2020.
Known as the Oscars of the hospitality industry, The Cateys is organised by The Caterer magazine and we are the only hospitality business in the north to have made it through to the final of any category.
Receiving the award would be a huge mark of success for The Bay, in recognition of the whole team’s ongoing passion and deep rooted ethos of seeking the most sustainable produce and suppliers wherever possible.
We’re proud to source around 90% of our produce from within a 50-mile radius of our shop and we run on 100% renewable energy.
We look at every product coming and every product going out – including turning our waste into compost and our oil into biodiesel. We’ve even purchased an electric car to be more sustainable!
The winners will be unveiled on Tuesday 24th November at a virtual awards ceremony. Keep your eyes peeled on our social channels to be the first to know the results!
