The Bay Fish & Chips to reopen for delivery

Have you missed us?

After careful consideration and planning, I’ve decided to reopen The Bay Fish & Chips for delivery only from Thursdays – Sundays.

I don’t want to rush into this and put my team’s health at risk or not provide the standard of food and service customers are used to from The Bay. I want to make sure we get this right, so we’re not rushing into anything.

To begin with, we’re offering reduced opening hours and will initially offer this delivery service for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 3pm-8.30pm.

You’ll be able to pre-order your food: online or via our new app from 9am every Monday.

We wouldn’t be able to offer this service if it wasn’t for our partnership with the fantastic Dash Cabs, and the delivery charge on orders will be going directly to them.

I’ve set an initial delivery radius to include the immediate Stonehaven area and just outside of the bypass. If the demand for The Bay reaches a little further afield and if we’re able to offer a safe delivery, we’ll consider extending this radius in the future.

Only specific members of my team will be allowed inside The Bay Fish & Chip shop during this time, and they’ve all agreed to sign daily declarations confirming no-one in their household is feeling unwell.

I know there’s going to be a lot of excitement and questions surrounding our reopening, so to help I’ve tried to answer some FAQ’s below.

As ever though, you can always reach out to me or my team on social media if you’re still unsure about something and we’ll do our best to get back to you in these busy times.

Stay safe all, let’s get through this with fish, chips and the Scottish spirit.

The Bay delivery FAQ’s

Can I order over the phone?
Sorry – to ensure the health and safety of my team I’m only accepting orders made online or via our app. This means no phone, social media messages or walk in orders will be processed.

Do I pay for my order online or when the delivery arrives?
It’s a no contact service so you’ll pay for your food when you order online. You’ll be able to browse our menu, choose your time/date and pay for your order online. You’ll then receive an email confirming all details.

I’ve made an error on my order, can I change it?
Unfortunately not. It’s really important to take your time when ordering online and make sure everything is correct, as we’re unable to make any changes or substitutions once your order is placed.

Can I choose what time/day to have my food delivered?
We’re currently offering delivery Thursday – Sunday, between 3pm-8.30pm only. Within this limited time frame you can choose the time and day that best suits you.

There’s a specific amount of time slots available each day. Please double check you’re happy with the date and time selected before confirming your order. We’re unable to make any changes once the order has come through to us.

It’s not letting me place an order online?
If you’re unable to place an order online, sadly this means all of our allotted slots are full. There’s a limited amount of order slots available for each week and once they’re gone, they’re gone.

Will I need to tell you what sauces I want or how much vinegar I like?
You’ll be able to select sauces as part of your order online, however we will not be adding any salt or vinegar. Instead, we’ll place sachets of these inside your meal for you to add on once your order arrives. This helps keep the food in top condition for longer.

Are you still offering gluten free fish and chips for delivery?
Yes – our new range means we’re able to cook gluten free fish and chips separately so we’re still offering this service for delivery. You’ll be able to specify this on your order.

Please keep checking back on our Facebook to and website for any new updates or information on this service
