Here at The Bay Fish and Chips, we’ve been celebrating Seafood Week by using this fantastic annual campaign as a way to introduce and celebrate just how much choice and variety we have here in the UK when it comes to fish and shellfish.

As well as inviting businesses from all sectors of the industry to promote and celebrate fish, Seafood Week is also about raising awareness of sustainability and just how healthy – and delicious – seafood is.

During Seafood Week, our customers had the chance to try a different variety of fish every day of the week, including monkfish, coley, squid, lemon sole and plaice to name a few. We also ramped up our social media posting so we could tell our customers what was on offer that day and, as always, the message about the importance of sustainable fishing was at the heart of it all.

We’re pleased to say that Seafood week was a resounding success! So many of our customers took on the challenge of trying something new and, in many cases, found a new tasty fish dish to keep coming back to!

We even got a mention in the Daily Record, through their Seafood Week article where restaurant critic Anna Burnside name dropped The Bay as a place to try for our ‘scallop supper’. We’re definitely in agreement… our scallop supper is absolutely delicious and just one of the fine seafood choices you’ll find all year round at The Bay Fish and Chips.
