The Bay chips away at waste problem

We’re proud that our determination to embrace sustainability and dedication to improve the fish and chip industry’s reputation has been recognised.

At The Bay Fish and Chips we take responsibility for our own eco-friendly credibility and since we opened, our aim has always been to serve responsibly sourced fish to our customers in Stonehaven.

However we soon realised the issue of sustainability was far bigger than just us and needed to be tackled from all angles.

The Scotsman recently published an article on how we’ve worked to chip away at the negative reputation the industry has, including encouraging more shops to join the sustainable movement.

The article also highlights our work with the Couper Seafoods team, after we helped identity a reusable delivery pallet to improve processes, cut down plastic use and reduce costs.

We still have a lot of work to do, but the 10,000 fish and chip shops in the UK are one group that can help by changing to greener practices.

You can read the full article in The Scotsman here to discover more about how we’re chipping away at the problem of waste.
