Welcome to The Bay, where we’re proud to serve locally-sourced, sustainable fish and chips from our shop on the Stonehaven seafront.
Since opening in 2006 our passion for local produce and sustainability has put Stonehaven on the food map. We’ve enjoyed real success at national food awards, including winning the UK’s Best Independent Takeaway at the 2013 National Fish and Chip awards. We want to spread the message about sustainable food even further so we’re involved in all sorts of awards and initiatives, both locally and nationally.
Here at The Bay we think it tastes better when you’re eating great food that doesn’t cost the earth, so that’s exactly what we serve. The Bay team behind your food starts with Calum who won the UK Young Fish Frier of the Year Award. Manager Paul is also there to keep everything running smoothly, and after 10 years of working with Calum, he has a real feel for The Bay and its food and a vision to move The Bay forward.
With our focus on local food and sustainable produce we’re looking after the future of our fish and chips. We want to carry on serving great food for years to come, so we hope you can join us for your fish supper some time soon.About Calum

The Bay fundraising
There’s more to The Bay than just serving great food. We have many causes close to our hearts and we give back whenever we can. The Bay will be using the introduction of the government 20p carrier bag charge as an opportunity to donate to a different charity each month. Our staff have even decided to put all their tips in charity tubs as we know every penny can really make a difference.
